What really happened on the night of July 15, 2016 in Turkey? On July 15, 2016, Turkey experienced what looked like a military coup attempt. But this attempt was different than the coups in Turkey’s history. Why were thousands of judges and prosecutors arrested and purged the next day? Why were hundreds of journalists arrested and media outlets shut down after the coup attempt by Erdogan?

“I view woman and man as two sides of a unity, as two different sides of a whole. Indeed God has created them as such. But in different periods, women has been limited to a life at home closed to the outer world. Sometimes tyrannical leaders have isolated them and prevented them from participating actively in social life”.

“A balance should be sought…There is no obstacle to her participating in social life. She can assume any role. But the world has not yet realized this reality”.

“I hope that the intellectuals of the future will find a way to grants everybody’s rights without causing a reaction. I hope that there will be a social system where women will be satisfied as well, there will be a world where women will be able to breath, God willing”.

 

 

“First, we have always condemned terrorism. In this regard, I reiterate that I sincerely condemn the act of terror against the Russian Ambassador. I condemn it.”

Fethullah Gulen Strongly Condemns Mindless Violence

“I have learned with sadness about the attack on the US Consulate Libyan city of Benghazi which resulted the deaths of U.S. Ambassador Christopher Stevens, consulate personnel and several others. I strongly condemn this heinous attack which targeted Ambassador Stevens who was representing his country in Libya and thus was a guest of the Libyan government and people. On this sad occasion I reiterate my condemnation of all forms of terror regardless of its perpetrators and the purposes for which is it carried out”.
