Fethullah Gulen’s Message of Condolences for Greece Wildfire Incident

July 25, 2018 –  I was deeply saddened by the news of the wildfires in Greece that took away the lives of at least 74 people.

I extend my sincere condolences to the families, relatives and friends of the deceased. I pray to God, the Most Compassionate, to provide perseverance for those who still are searching for their missing loved ones as well as those who continue the rescue and firefighting efforts.

Greeks have displayed great humanitarianism for thousands of refugees seeking safety. We consider them not only our neighbors of many centuries but also our brothers and sisters in the greater human family. During this difficult time, I urge everybody to support the people of Greece in overcoming these tragic wildfires.
