October 6, 2018 – I learned, with sadness, the passing of Mrs. Fatma Alpay, wife of the world-renowned political scientist, principled columnist, and the pride of Turkish intelligentsia, Dr. Sahin Alpay. I pray for God’s mercy and grace upon her. May God be pleased with her.

I wish patience and perseverance to the remaining members of the family. May God, the Most Compassionate, be their friend and helper, and diminish their pain.
