September 1, 2022– It is with deep sadness that I learned of the devastating floods in Pakistan in which more than 1,000 people have lost their lives, thousands have been injured and millions have been severely affected. I ask for God’s mercy on those who lost their lives and offer my condolences to their loved ones and to the people of Pakistan. I pray for the rapid healing of those injured and a speedy return to their homes for those who have been displaced.

I pray that God enables those who have sustained damages to their crops, livestock and other properties to recover their losses quickly, and gives strength and resilience to the emergency personnel who face immense challenges. May God protect the people of Pakistan and all humanity from any such disasters in the future.

I invite everybody to support the people of Pakistan through their donations and prayers to help them overcome this tremendous challenge as quickly as possible.
