AfSV’s Statement on the 20th Anniversary of the 9/11 Attacks
September 11, 2021– This year marks the 20th anniversary of the September 11th attacks, which devastated the lives of thousands of people and changed the lives of everyone else. Twenty years ago, Mr. Fethullah Gulen was one of the first prominent Muslim leaders to publicly denounce the September 11 attacks and their perpetrators.
Today, Hizmet participants continue to condemn all forms of violence and terror. We believe that every life is sacred and that there is no justifiable cause for targeting innocent human beings.
On this day, we remember the victims, the first responders, and their loved ones and extend our deepest condolences. We pray that one day the world will live in peace, unity, and respect.
