May 25, 2022 – Yesterday, the United States witnessed another tragic shooting at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas, during which 19 children and two adults were killed. This comes just days after a hate-filled mass shooting at a grocery store in a predominantly Black neighborhood in Buffalo that resulted in the deaths of 10 people.

The Alliance for Shared Values grieves with the nation over these heartbreaking losses of life at locations that should be safe environments for everyone. We strongly condemn such terrible acts of violence and call on society to reflect on how such events are able to happen in the first place.

We express our deepest condolences to the victims’ loved ones, and we pray to God the most merciful that those affected may eventually find peace and tranquility.
