AfSV Message for the International Day of Living Together in Peace
May 16, 2021– Today, the international community commemorates the International Day of Living Together in Peace, which encourages peaceful coexistence while recognizing and respecting differences and diversity.
The values of this day coincide greatly with the Hizmet values of social harmony and peace. Hizmet participants strongly believe that focusing on our shared values, rather than our disagreements, can help to foster a deeper understanding and a more harmonious society.
As we celebrate this meaningful day, let us take time to pray for those in the Holy Land who have lost their lives to violence and pray for the quick recovery of the injured. We look forward to when the people of different faiths in that region can live alongside one another in peace and without violence.
We pray to God, the Most Compassionate, to lead the world to days of peace and unity when people can live with mutual understanding and respect.
